UNCLE
Dante is. Well. Nero would call him a lot of things- namely: jackass, asshole, pain in the ass, jerk, idiot. However, none of these are said in anger, but Nero's own way of respect and care. Dante is a special person to Nero, even if he doesn't act like it most of the time. As his uncle, there's an incredibly strong desire to get to know him more than Dante's ever allowed them to be close before. He's still waiting for him to return, so he can kick his ass finally.
ASGARD: Having spent a year with the old man, Nero is 100% more comfortable with him, not to mention fiercely protective. Dante was the one who suggested that Vergil work on the two of them getting to know each other, and if he hadn't? Well, those two would still be awkward as ever around each other. Dante's done a lot more for Nero in Asgard than he may realize- even just kinda being around and not saying much has really given his nephew a sense of comfort in times of work or in silence. And having to experience Dante actually dying was definitely an eye-opener to Nero as to how much he cares for this guy, even if he'll forever vehemently deny crying the night his uncle showed back up in his van as if he'd never been killed in the first place. Basically, cares a lot about Dante, would rather suck eggs than admit it out loud, and will protect as much as he can.

FATHER
sings in the bg IT'S COMPLICAAAAATEEEEDDDD. Nero has always wanted to know who his family was, and now? He does. And his first impulsive description is that Vergil is a dick. Which, he's not wrong. The man did rip off Nero's arm in an act of desperation, to make sure he'd survive. On one hand, Nero is wanting to know who Vergil is, who he was and just to know him in general. On the other? His dad is a fucking asshole Nero had to literally beat the shit out of to prove that he was his son, and to make him stop the deadly part of the sibling rivalry he had with Dante. What the fuck, basically. It's a complicated matter because he also feels while he desperately wants to know and connect with this man who has been absent his entire life, he also feels he doesn't have the right to pry, almost too hesitant to ask in fear Vergil may slip out of his life just as easily. Still, he knows beyond a doubt that his father cares for him, even if he's really bad at saying it. Now he's just waiting for him to get his ass back home.

They're far closer than they both ever expected to be, but Nero doesn't mind it. It feels natural to him, even if his father is still fucking awful at communication. All in all, would protect this man with his life, already has, and enjoys kicking his ass as much as he can.

Did someone say best person to bust his balls and give him shit when he gives her shit? That's Nico. When they first met, Nero was really not into how she carried herself, coming into his space and just putting herself in his life because he had connections to papers that her father wrote. A year later and she's probably one of his closest friends he's ever had in his life. This guy would take a bullet for her and then some, because she's important to him and he really just wants her to live her best life. The fact that she makes his Devil Breakers is a side bonus, not the main thing he focuses on. Of course, they jab and jeer at each other as much as possible, and for once in his life he doesn't mind working with someone for a job. Will protect, will snark at and will definitely always be besties with.

THIS IS ANOTHER COMPLICATED ONE BECAUSE UH. V. YEAH. Being his father's humanity but also definitely not telling him he was Vergil's humanity but also using him to get to Urizen but also really just wanting well for Nero? IT'S A LOT.

This is. Really complicated. And not the same way that it is with Vergil or V. Admin is very clearly the one who keeps them all here on South Sister, who is doing it for a purpose to have them "face their guilt." Not to mention the whole aspect of possibly having their memories erased, or them being the first and only group here on the island and possibly being reset when they get a bad end? It's. It's a lot. Half of him wasn't expecting Admin to be so upfront or honest about things around the island, and it's thrown him through a loop that despite the very clear line that's set in terms of what cannot be known and can, Admin still seems to genuinely want what's best for the people here.
He really hates how relatable he can find himself to Admin, also. Only in a few ways, but it's there, and it's very much in Nero's face. He doesn't like it.

KIND HEART
He's only seen her once, but he can tell there's a lot of care in what Doll does. Maybe in the future he'll contact her to get to know about her more, but at the moment he's still trying to wrap his head around Admin and what they actually want.
