He won't call them out 9 times out of 10 since it's not his business, unless he feels it's absolutely necessary. This reading cannot be done at range and cannot be done over the network.

Additional notes just to give a baseline understanding if it has reason to come up: Even when she appears calm on the surface, Ryoko is always on high alert and in risk assessment mode and very rarely if ever seems to actually feel safe. Sei is, in general, more perceptive and clever than the vibes she gives off and it's possible to glean that her happy-go-lucky vibes are not exactly manufactured but still a very conscious choice on her part.

additional note about vash is that he is nearly always feeling some flavor of melancholy, guilt, or loneliness, stemmed from the weight of 150 years of guilt for what he and his brother caused. he often appears to be carefree/childishly happy and playful to appear as if he's fine, but 8/10 times he's smiling through the pain, so to speak.
calling him out will have him redouble his efforts to seem carefree, or run away so he doesn't have to explain himself.
