DMC has had a variety of demons and enemies show up over the years, and as a result, has given a ton of different strategies in facing each one. While some enemies have been easier compared to others, the game has always been focused on tackling whatever comes a devil hunter's way with an over-the-top approach and doing it in style. Unfortunately we have no motorcycles splitting into swords or guitars that summon bats and use electricity here, but there's still methods to use and defeat the enemies that'll be found for the event.
HELL CAINA are normal demons, and fairly weak in the spectrum of other kinds like them (gently stares at Hell Vanguards on Dante Must Die in DMC3). Looking like the reaper and carrying a scythe with them wherever they go, Hell Cainas usually bumble along in groups until they find someone, then go after them. Characters will definitely be able to hear them as they drag their weapon along the ground once they've popped up from their little puddle. They usually swing wide and like to gang up on someone if they're not paying attention, so keep an eye on the group and take them out and you'll be fine. THREAT LEVEL: Low
SOUL EATERS are demons that live mostly through sucking the life out of others. While some may call them the lowest of demon spawn, they're pretty average overall. Mostly living in their gaseous forms, they prefer to move quietly as cloud forms until they notice their prey. Once spotted, Soul Eaters tend to go into their solid form and latch onto the creature, draining them of life and blood as quickly as possible. It's best to try and hit them with gunfire or projectiles, as blade swings are slower and the demon will just disappear into its gaseous form before any harm comes to it. Bait them out with a trick, or settle on attacking from range to get rid of them for sure. THREAT LEVEL: Low
SHADOWS are volatile cat-like creatures that look exactly like the sound- completely wrapped in shadow, they can morph into different shapes to keep their enemies guessing. Shadows are capable of turning into spikes, a flying blade, a hungry maw, as well as swiping like a normal cat would. The important fact about them is that they can be struck with anything and will take damage- after a certain amount, the Shadow will shed its form and produce a glowing floating orb as it tries to recover. Strike this orb and destroy it to kill the Shadow for good, otherwise it will recover health and go into its cat-like form again. THREAT LEVEL: Medium
CHAOS(aka rolli-polli bois) are demons covered in spines from head to toe. If one were to take an armadillo and put switchblades all along its back, that would be a Chaos. While you won't be fighting them, these demons are known for their ability to block
