Canon Point: Post-DMC5
CRAU, Canon AU: CRAU
Character age: 24
Canon Abilities/Powers: It's... it's a lot. /pulls open the DMC wiki and just... pastes what I can find tbh.
Demonic Heritage - As the son of Vergil, Nero is 1/4th demon, and his true power allows him to outperform most humans with ease.
Superhuman strength - Nero is capable of fighting creatures much larger than him, and tossing demons that come at him head-on without much difficulty. Since his true power has awakened, it's implied that he's essentially on-par with Dante and Vergil in terms of power.
Superhuman speed - Nero moves much faster than the average human, able to keep up in fast-paced fighting and at some points, defy gravity by running up the sides of demons.
Incredible endurance - Where most people would falter within several hours of constant in and out fighting, Nero can last on his feet without much issue for at least a day. It's not known how long a Sparda's endurance can last, but at full power they're shown to easily take on hordes of demons, massive bosses, and even save the world in a relatively short amount of time.
Engineer/Tinkerer - Nero has built his own gun from scratch- from the design to the entire creation of it. With his sword, he removed the limiter himself so he could place propellant on the blade and actually use fire with his attacks. He's also shown to work on the van for his devil hunting business, so he has plenty of mechanical knowledge as well.
Hand to hand combat/wrestling - Among other things, Nero has the uncanny ability to be flexible in fighting. When the Devil Bringer actually formed on his arm, Nero took to training with it, eventually making his own form of fighting style akin to wrestling. Even now, he'll grab enemies and put them in headlocks, he'll dropkick someone without hesitation, he'll get a demon into a chokehold before trying to ram a sword down their back. He gets creative, and he's used to fighting without his weapons too.
Fast recovery and healing rate - Like Dante and Vergil, Nero can recover from wounds at a ridiculous rate. He's capable of taking a sword through the stomach, ripping it out of himself to shove it into Vergil's stomach, spends about five to ten seconds recovering from the pain and the wound, and go back to fighting all out as if he'd never been struck there.
Talented swordsman - Being taught with swords has always been something Nero takes to, and he joined the Order of the Sword to learn how to protect those he cares for. Nero has had several years of training under his belt, and while most would say his form isn't graceful, he certainly knows how to hit enemies hard and do it well enough to split some in two. His swordsmanship skills derive from training and also his own experience and instinct with working with a sword he specifically modified for himself.
What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?:
Nero's greatest negative emotion is his agony over watching his adopted brother, Credo, die in front of him. He was powerless to stop it from happening, and has never forgiven himself for being unable to save him, despite being in peril himself. Even five years after the incident, Nero admits fully that he's hated himself for not being strong enough to save him.
How strongly do they feel about the negative subject matter, on the scale of one to ten?:
That's a 5 to a 6. When confronted with the fact that his uncle and his father were going to kill each other due to a lifelong history of fucked up fighting and family trauma, Nero thought it was the dumbest fucking thing they could do. Wracked by the weight of Credo's death on his heart and soul, he vowed to make sure neither would die that day and he'd do everything to stop it. It isn't something so crippling that he can't face it if it arises, but it's definitely carved him into who he is today.
What is their greatest virtue?:
Kindness. Like, this is a man who has basically been shunned his whole life by an entire island because he was an orphan and only loved by one family. He was literally called "bastard child of a prostitute" to his face by children his age or called a black sheep by adults who only saw him with disdain. Nero grew up knowing he was different, constantly picking fights, being labeled a troublemaker and pushing people further from himself because it was easier for people to judge him than to open himself to anyone else and possibly be hurt more by giving his trust to a stranger. He joined the Order to follow after Credo and was still treated like an outcast, eventually being given solo missions because he could outdo everyone and would get his fellow teammates into trouble with injuries trying to keep up with him.
And yet, he cares so much about the world and the people he knows, that he'd do literally anything for them. Despite all that's happened, he can't turn his back on people unless he truly, utterly despises them. He should have been bitter and angry, and he was, for a time- but because he knew love, he also has a soft heart and wears it on his sleeve all the damn time. He has his arm torn off, gets beaten nearly to death twice, is lied to consistently and used and manipulated all by one person (V/Vergil), and in the end- Nero still wants to save him, because he's his father. You don't exactly get any more virtuous than that, honestly.
How aware are they of their virtue, on a scale from one to ten?:
About a 4? Maybe? He doesn't think about it, really- just goes with what he feels is right.
Items:
Red Queen, his sword
Blue Rose, his gun
Devil Breaker clip, basically a set of clips that run along his belt and carry his different arms, he can have six max at a time

What game are you bringing your character from?: Asgard (the reboot!)
What has changed for your character from the arrival to departure in game?:
Nero spent a year in Asgard, give or take, and in that time he spent a lot of it with his new family. In that time he's starting to learn how to be a son to Vergil, which is different and sometimes a struggle for him. Both of them never realized the other existed until literally maybe an hour before they originally came to Asgard (or in Vergil's case, 20 minutes, rip), so it's been a bit of a wild ride, all things considered. Still, Nero has grown in terms of his skills and finesse, and also really come to care about a lot of people. Dante, Trish, V, Vergil- there's a ton of other friends too, which is surprising, considering his personality.
He's still learning to not immediately lose his patience with people, and that's going to take a while. His temper may be something he no longer immediately lets go like a bullet, but he definitely can still get angry and frustrated if pushed the right way. He'll protect everyone, so long as you're not a dick and obviously don't want to hurt other people for your own gain.
Do you want to reset your character?: Did you want to reverse a transformation, or powers that were added?
He's just going back to his newly found powers at the end of the game, fam. No new stuff from Asgard, he's good. Flying will be limited to have him go in circles if he tries to leave, and nowhere else.

Special notes:
Nothing's needed, just as a hilarious note: He's a canon shitposter and a memer. On the first day the network was available in Asgard he gifted the city the wonders of the doge meme. I hate this boy, he's wonderful.

Demonic Heritage - As the son of Vergil, Nero is 1/4th demon, and his true power allows him to outperform most humans with ease.
Breaker Claws - Ephemeral wings that form on Nero's shoulders, these are indicators of him tapping into his power. These wings function both for flight (flight is easier to achieve while in Devil Trigger) and speed, but can also raise themselves and have claws at the end, allowing him to attack with them and activate new abilities if he so desires. Nero can grab and hold people or objects with these claws, enabling him to use them like he used to with the Devil Bringer before it was torn off. He also uses them as new ways to fight against enemies, further enhancing his wrestling capabilities in battle. When both sit on his shoulders but remain dormant, it allows him to regain his demonic strength faster in tense or serious situations.
Devil Trigger - The ability to transform into a demonic form, gaining heightened speed, strength, and new abilities specifically for this form. With Nero, his Bringer Claws remain to add more destruction to whatever he goes against, allowing him to fully use his powers to take on whoever challenges him. While in Devil Trigger, Nero can fire summoned swords, use his Devil Breaker fists while charging his two powerful attacks (which create spectral blades to hit one enemy all at once, or fire off a huge laser X that does a ton of damage, which you can see both here), fly between enemies and recover his healing even faster. Suffice to say, it's the ultimate form of power Nero has, and it's not one he uses all the time.
Superhuman strength - Nero is capable of fighting creatures much larger than him, and tossing demons that come at him head-on without much difficulty. Since his true power has awakened, it's implied that he's essentially on-par with Dante and Vergil in terms of power.
