[Amal would get along with Dante very well, most likely.]
True enough.
[He's been in the same boat for a while. A lot of people underestimate him. They typically do not live to underestimate him twice. The life of a Warrior of Light isn't all glory; there's a lot of blood and guts too, unfortunately.]
He gets it from me, I think. [Not something he usually admits, but Nox has spent enough time with Amal that he might've figured it out. He's not much for candy, but when it comes to pastries he's totally weak.]
Whatever you do to me will heal up eventually. Probably. [He holds up a finger.] I want to keep all my limbs, though—I'm not superhuman, I just bounce when I'm thrown.
[Gods know he's experienced that enough...
He is feeling a bit antsy himself. He shifts his balance a bit so he's on the balls of his feet.]
I'll show you exactly how far I've come.
[The redhead rushes forward with that wind-augmented speed he learned a couple of months ago. As his scythe slices cleanly through the air, his demon screams into existence: a skull-faced, cloth-garbed phantom with its own shadowy claws that trace the lines of Amal's attacks. Red runes inscribe the air around his summoning. Wherever Nero's feet happen to land, the voidsent will follow up with a blast of reddish void crystals exploding over the floor, all before disappearing.
You're expecting me to go all out like I'm gonna tear you limb from limb? [There's no chastising, really, Nox is only raising a brow at that.] Trust me, the only people I'd ever go that hard against are from my family. The ones like me, from back then, I mean. [A beat, and that grin just goes wider.] And don't you worry about your pretty little face and ass, I still remember how important those are for work.
[Ha ha ha :V
Amal's speed is definitely something Nox isn't quite ready for, and he slides just out of the way of the scythe- but not for what's sent by Dushan. The crystals erupt right out of the ground and skim his face, Nox almost losing his balance and going backwards to not have any part of the thing stick into his neck. He isn't quick enough, however- part of the jagged edges catch his cheek in the explosion.
Honestly, it's enough to make his heart race in excitement. This is going to be a good fight. Nox grins even as he feels the cut bleed, a thumb running right up it. He knows it'll heal quick enough.]
Oh, two against one like that, huh? Okay, maybe I should actually take things a bit serious, huh? [He's being a shitposter, honestly.
That's all Amal gets before Nox speeds right back at him, sword in tow and eyes alight with both him and his demon keen on actually showing off. Halfway there, out come the flames of Red Queen, and Nox is laughing.]
[He appreciates the callout, though. It's nice to know that even someone as straight-laced as Nox knows a nice ass when he sees it.
Dushan's breath is hot and far too close to Nox for comfort; he gives a low hrrrnnnnhhhhh kind of noise and pops out of sight, but certainly not out of mind. Amal laughs as he realizes that he actually put a scratch on Nox. That's historically been difficult to do.
But there's no time to celebrate. Nox is even faster and his eyes burn for a thrill. Amal doesn't even make a move to dodge. He simply winks out of existence, only to reappear about twenty or thirty feet behind Nox. He leaves only a small, inaccessible purple portal to mark where he'd been.]
Boo!
[He lets loose a purple spinning scythe-like apparition of a spell directly at Nox, hoping to at least clip him if it's not a direct hit. Good ol' Soul Sow.]
